The beaches mostly face northeast (17 beaches) and east (8 beaches). When the Mistral (NW) blows, the beaches facing southeast stay sheltered: 2 of 27. Municipalities with the most sheltered beaches: Sirolo. With the Sirocco (SE): none of these beaches gets an offshore wind.
Among the best-known beaches: Spiaggia di San Michele, Spiaggia delle Due Sorelle, Spiaggia di Mezzavalle, Spiaggia Urbani and Spiaggia del Passetto.
