Scicli: 9 beaches, mostly sandy (100% where the seabed is known), mainly facing southwest. Ragusa: 6 beaches, mainly facing west. Santa Croce Camerina: 6 beaches, mostly sandy (100% where the seabed is known), mainly facing southwest. Vittoria: 4 beaches, mainly facing southwest. Acate: 3 beaches, mainly facing southwest. Pozzallo: 3 beaches, mainly facing south.
Where we know the seabed (21 of 35 beaches) there are 21 sandy. Most are sandy (100%).
Water quality: 33 of 35 beaches with an EEA monitoring point are rated excellent (94%, 2025 season). Others: 1 good and 1 poor.
The beaches mostly face southwest (20 beaches) and south (11 beaches). When the Mistral (NW) blows, the beaches facing southeast stay sheltered: 4 of 35. Municipalities with the most sheltered beaches: Pozzallo and Modica. With the Sirocco (SE): none of these beaches gets an offshore wind.
Among the best-known beaches: Marina di Ragusa beach, Scoglitti beach and Spiaggia di Cava D'Aliga.
Today (afternoon) the highest score is 88/100, at Porto Salvo (Modica). 35 of 35 beaches are in good or perfect condition today (at least 65/100).
